Thomas Jirku gehört zu den merkwürdigsten, von Label zu Label herumgereichten Minimalisten, und seine anderen Projekte machen ihn nur noch stranger. Hier jedenfalls 4 Tracks für das holländische Label Audio.Nl, die ihn in sehr abstraktem Modus zeigen. Eine Untersuchung der kleinsten Detailsounds, die er finden konnte. Spartanische, fast erstickte Grooves, wenig harmonisch auflösendes, und immer diese Art, die Tracks als Tools zu begreifen, die irgendwo die digitale DSP-Version mancher früher Like A Tim Stücke sein könnten, vor allem, weil sie einen ziemlich ungewöhnlichen Rückblick auf eine Art von Acid wagen, die fast vergessen ist. Manchmal fast ein wenig akademisch, kein Wunder dass die Titel alle chemische Namen von Säuren tragen.
